Concrete Taxi sales and service enhanced by new technology

The introduction of Navman GPS trackers and communications equipment to both Company and Franchise units is seen as a huge step toward optimising customer service.

The Call Centre based in Geebung (Q) now has the ability to locate all units at all times, allowing greater flexibilty and control in the scheduling of concrete deliveries. Use of the messaging system and GPS navigation system will allow Concrete Taxi oerators to give an even better service to our customers. Expansion of the system to all States will be complete by end of March 2008, giving Concrete Taxi a state of the art service facility.

Concrete Taxi expands NSW operation

Introduction of the third truck to the Sydney market for Concrete Taxi is as a part of plans to have five units operational asap.

Concrete Taxi now has the third truck operating from Condell Park, giving greater flexibility to the overall operation. Release of trucks from Brisbane as new franchisees commence will allow Sydney Concrete Taxi to have five units probably by end of June 2008. Concrete supply to the inner west is seen as a priority, new resupply points have been sourced and the team is well underway.

Brisbane Shows and exhibitions on for March

Participation again at the Brisbane Homeshow and the National Tradesmans Expo to boost exposure in Brisbane through March.

Early strong interest in Franchise opportunities at the Brisbane Homeshow was only to be expected given the growth of the Concrete Taxi sales base over the last six months. Even with the consistent rain through January/February the increasingly high profile of Concrete Taxis around Brisbane is reflecting in more calls to the Call Centre with a high conversion factor to actual jobs. The National trades Expo at the Ekka at the end of March will once again boost the brand in the Tradies market.

New Franchisee for metro Brisbane commences operation

Terry Bernhagen has completed his initial training and commenced operation in his own right.

The background of Terry in construction and mining leaves him in good stead as a Concrete Taxi operator - an occupation he first saw as a customer to our first Brisbane Franchisee, Mark Weir. A keen waterskier and family man, Terry is looking forward to the challenge of running his own business under the umbrella of Concrete Taxi. Terry sets a new record - he was on his first job within 3 hours of having his truck licensed!

Sunshine Coast now being serviced by Concrete Taxi.

Concrete Taxi Franchisee Andrew Murchie has commenced training for the introduction of Concrete Taxi to the concrete delivery market on the Sunshine Coast. Andrew first experienced Concrete Taxi as a customer, liked what he saw and actively pursued the opportunity to become the second Franchisee in Queensland.

Concrete Taxi is now represented by trucks based out of Coolum, Noosa and Caboolture, allowing for service to the bulk of the Sunshine Coast. Supply points have been organised and active marketing for our small mix concrete delivery system begins in earnest in September. Extension of the concrete service has been requested for some time, the investment by Company and Franchise operators will grow over the next several months.

Franchise expansion for Concrete Taxi

The Brisbane market for Concrete Taxi is now well developed, with six Company trucks and one Franchisee in operation. Continued expansion of the market place sees the need for several more Franchisees into this market to release Company trucks to open up the Ipswich and Gold Coast markets.

Concrete Taxi has adopted the policy of putting Company trucks into new markets to pave the way for Franchise operations. The introduction of three Franchisees into the Brisbane market is seen as one of the key objectives for Concrete Taxi short term development. Unlike most new Franchises, Concrete Taxi passes on an effective "going concern" to the incoming Franchisee by retiring it's Company trucks to new sales territories.

Sunshine Coast expansion underway

Concrete Taxi has begun trading in the Sunshine Coast region for the delivery of small mix on site concrete. The rapidly expanding region has a consistent and high demand for concrete and two Company trucks have begun operation.

Concrete Taxi exhibited at the recent Caboolture Farm Fantastic with positive enquiries from all over the Brisbane/Sunshine Caost region. The introduction of a Concrete Taxi unit based in Morayfield and a second based in Coolum will assist with market development, the first Franchisee to the area is currently in negotiation.

Perth Trade Show is again being attended by Concrete Taxi.

The involvement of Concrete Taxi with the National Tradesmans Expo (NTX) continues, with the latest Taxi being on display at Burswood from Friday 15th to Sunday 17th June.

The show is open to the Building Trade and the general public and is a perfect opportunity for prospective Franchisees to talk with the people from Concrete Taxi and also listen to the Trades who already use Concrete Taxi. Expansion plans for Concrete Taxi include the Mandurah/Peel area, with a Franchisee being sought for this region.

Concrete Taxi expands to the Sunshine Coast

Continued demand for small order concrete delivery in Brisbane Metro now sees Concrete Taxi expanding into the Sunshine Coast region.

Company trucks will be used for market development, as per the successful operation in Brisbane. Local suppliers are being sought for supply of raw materials, with a number of existing Brisbane clients welcoming the news that Concrete Taxi can now better service their market.

Concrete Taxi pushes into the Peel region

A direct effort to enter into the rapidly expanding Peel market for Concrete Taxi and it's mix on site format is on the cards for 2007.

Resupply points have been organised by Concrete Taxi and securing the services of a locally based Franchisee is seen as key to development of this area. The mix on site system is readily operable from most residences and for many could be seen as complimenting the local lifestyle.

Sydney expansion primary target for 2007, Brisbane continues on.

Initial field testing of the market for mix on site concrete has confirmed that both Sydney and Brisbane are ready for more development through 2007.

Concrete Taxi has now brought truck figures in Brisbane to five with the addition of the first Franchisee, Mark Weir, in December. Current situation in Sydney is two trucks, one Eastern and one Western suburbs. Additional resupply points have been sourced and new trucks are under construction to cope with anticipated demand through the early part of 2007 - Company and Franchise units. The mix on site format with minimal loss and wastage is particularly suited to larger cities like Sydney where traffic can cause substantial transport and holding problems for standard agitator trucks.

Brisbane Franchisee to commence November 2006

Concrete Taxi welcomes Mark & Tammy Weir as the first Franchisees for Concrete Taxi on the East Coast.

Service is well known to Mark Weir from his previous business experiences and he sees it as a key part of the operation of a Concrete Taxi franchise. Mark has been in training with the mix on site concept for the past two weeks and is due to take delivery of his truck the first week in December. The major area of operation for Mark will be the south side of Brisbane metro.

Concrete Taxi call centre mooves East

Concrete Taxi will be operating it's call centre from Geebung starting September 2006.

Recognising the rapid initial growth and projected long term growth of the Eastern States market, Concrete Taxi has elected to relocate it's call centre to the Geebung premises of the Eastern Group Support Office. The move will assist with the reaction to opportunities by having senior personnel based on the East coast, living in the market which has the best potential for development.

Concrete Taxi's first Franchisee commences

Graham Smith has commenced training as the first Franchisee for Concrete Taxi and will be based in the northern suburbs.

First Francisee for Concrete Taxi, Graham Smith, has had a backgound working in mining locations in the North-West - good money but no lifestyle. Commencing at a Training School run in the WGSO on 8th August, Graham will be commencing in the field in his own right by end of August.

Tradesmans Expo and Concrete Taxi together for the third time

Concrete Taxi is involved with the industry focussed Tradesmans Expo in Perth this coming weekend. The Brisbane show was very successful and Concrete Taxi is looking forward to continuing positive feedback from this years Perth show.

Concrete Taxis recent expansion in Brisbane has required the use of one of the regular units operating in Perth for display at the Tradesmans Expo. The focussed nature of the attendees to the Show means further spreading of the word on the ease of supply for small mix concrete delivery in Perth Metro and Peel areas warrants the use of the truck, with many Tradies still wondering exactly what the funny green truck actually does! An additional truck will be operating in Perth by end of June, with involvement in both the Franchise Exhibition and the Tradelink MBA Home Show end of June.

Concrete Taxi spreads its wings

Concrete Taxi has widened it's service to the small mix concrete delivery market with the introduction of new trucks to Qld.,NSW and WA over the last month.

Concrete delivery for the small mix market is getting better all the time, with Concrete Taxi pursuing it's aim of having 15 trucks in the Australian market by year end. The FC Hino units are now being placed in the Eastern States market, with both WA and Qld now being well enough developed Sales wise to enter the Franchise market.Continuing development has lead to greater flexibility in supply and dicussions are ongoing with suppliers regarding quantity pricing.

Brisbane office established by Concrete Taxi

The continuing development of the East Coast market by Concrete Taxi has seen the opening of our Brisbane Group Support Office

Small mix on site concrete requirements on the East Coast have seen the steady expansion of the market. Current development has three trucks operating Brisbane metro, with a further two trucks just commencing real operations in the Sydney market - both locations are expected to have at least 5 trucks apiece by end of year.

Call centre expanding

Concrete Taxi has maintained a Call Centre to cover its operations, with coverage now available seven days per week from 5am to 5pm (WST)

Concrete supply has been made easier with the personally answered call centre service provided by Concrete Taxi throughout the year. Concrete supply is undertaken on all days except Christmas day, New Years day and Good Friday - mainly due to raw matrerials not being available for resupply. Out of hours concrete supply and specific mix loads can be accommodated within our maximimum supply limit (1.6 cubic metre).

Hire units for remote areas

Dry Hire units for mining and remote areas For Concrete Taxi are high on the agenda for 2006.

The development of a series of Dry Hire units for remote/mining areas has been actively encouraged by Equipment Hire/Rental Companies, with Concrete Taxi to commit resources to this end during 2006. Focus will remain on major centres and Franchise expansion, with the testing and trial stage of Dry Hire options seen as taking up to 18 months to complete.

Sydney Franchise Exhibition 2006

Concrete Taxi has allocated a new FC model for display at the Sydney Franchise Exhibition in March 2006.

Company operations to begin development of the Sydney market commence in February, with the start up being supported with a display at the Sydney Franchise Exhibition in March. The FC design Concrete Taxi, with better load carrying for concrete and better handling characteristics for the driver, will be on display for the first time in Australia. The FC is the chosen vehicle for the Sydney market, with traffic conditions lending themselves to the larger capacity concrete delivery vehicle.

New concrete truck design

The introduction of the FC Hino to the Concrete Taxi fleet in January 2006 increases the capacity for supply of concrete to the small mix market.

Concrete Taxi has adapted the hopper and mixer design to make best use of the larger load carrying capacity of the FC Hino, with higher lift for the mixer and a more centralised insertion point for the aggregate for better balance on the vehicle. Small mix concrete demand is growing as major fleets are converting to 6-8 cubic metre trucks, with the FC Concrete Taxi can now achieve four average size deliveries before refill is required.

Marketing 2006

Concrete Taxi will expand the Company operations to Queensland and New South Wales to assist with the Franchise expansion for supply of small mix concrete.

The development of Concrete Taxi via the initial introduction of Company units to new markets and then the later on selling to Franchisees sees the introduction of an additional 3 new vehicles by end of January 2006, with further units ordered. Strong Sales growth for Concrete Taxi in WA has been possible through the introduction of a new truck - now we can advertise and have some chance of coping with the demand! The two new trucks in WA are designated as future Franchise vehicles.

Training School Jan 2006

Training commences in Perth for the second truck in Qld and the first for NSW in January 2006

Two new trucks have been added to the delivery area in WA, with the latest truck commencing operations in the Rockingham/Mandurah area in February 2006. The Training School to commence on 16th January sees the second driver for Brisbane and the first for Sydney commencing training at our Western Group Support Office under the watchful eye of Tony Walton. Training will take two weeks, then both drivers will commence operations early February.
